YouTube channels and playlists as knowledge sources
Choose a workspace, then open Knowledge Base.
What it does
The connect modal now takes an entire YouTube channel or playlist, not just a single video — every video's transcript lands in the knowledge base, and the source stays synced as new videos appear.
Before this
An expansion. YouTube became a knowledge source on 30 July, but one video at a time — a back catalogue meant pasting links one by one.
Why it matters
An expert's back catalogue is usually already on YouTube. This turns hundreds of videos into agent knowledge without adding them one link at a time.
How it works
A channel or playlist URL is expanded before anything is imported: paste it, hit Fetch videos, and Pickaxe lists every video it found so you can tick the ones you want. A channel with hundreds of videos does not dump all of them into your knowledge base unless you say so.
- What lands
- The transcript of each selected video, indexed like any other document.
- Add timestamps
- An optional switch that keeps the video's timestamps in the transcribed text, so an agent can point at the moment an answer came from.
- Auto sync
- Available when the whole playlist or channel is selected — new videos are added as you publish them.
