What it does
Embeds can carry injected custom code, configurable from the deployment or from the CLI.
Before this
An expansion. Embeds already had styling controls; what they lacked was an escape hatch for everything those controls did not cover.
Why it matters
Match your host site exactly, or run your own analytics and event tracking around the agent, without forking the embed.
How it works
Custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that loads with the embed, configurable from the deployment or from the CLI.
Two things it is normally used for: matching a host site precisely when the built-in styling controls stop short, and running your own analytics or event tracking around the agent so conversations show up in the same funnel as the rest of your site.
Because it is set per deployment, the same agent can carry different code on different sites — which is the point when one agent is embedded on several.
