What is a Pickaxe?

A Pickaxe is an AI tool, either a chatbot or a form, that is powered with a prompt. In addition to the prompt, you can power your Pickaxe with documents, websites, videos, special instructions, API endpoints, and more. To get started, build a Pickaxe in our no code AI builder.

How do I embed a Pickaxe on my website?

After you've created a Pickaxe you can embed it on a website by clicking on the Pickaxe in a Studio, then clicking the add embed button. You will be able to customize your embed in an Embed Customization screen and then copy and paste the embed code wherever you want to embed your Pickaxe. You can embed Pickaxes on Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Notion, Kajabi, Wordpress, and any website that supports embeds. You can read our step-by-step guide on embedding Pickaxes here.

What is a Studio?

A Studio is a standalone AI web-app. It is a simple way to host and sell your Pickaxes to other people. Studios allow you to bundle tools, customize a page, manage users, and collect payments. You can learn more about studios in this guide.

Can I control who uses my Pickaxes?

Yes. You can change the privacy settings of your Pickaxes. When you put a Pickaxe into a Studio, you can set the Studio to either Public or Invite-Only. In Invite-Only Studios only approved email addresses can gain access.

When people use my Pickaxe, are they using my credits?

Yes, when an end-user of your tool uses your Pickaxe, it counts against your credits.

Can I monetize the AI tools I build?

Absolutely. Pickaxe includes built-in monetization so you can charge for access, bundle AI tools into service packages, or resell AI solutions directly to clients.

Can I build AI tools under my own brand or my client’s brand? (White labeling)

Yes. Pickaxe supports full white labeling, so you can deliver AI tools that look and feel completely custom. Add your own branding or your client’s logo, colors, and domain — Pickaxe stays behind the scenes.
